A fine silver coin of William IV...
William’s rein only lasted 7 years, and the silver half-crowns issued during these years featured a unique mantled shield reverse design, with the bare-head portrait of the King on the obverse. There is a slight difference on the truncation with the other example we have in stock. The initials of the designer/engraver, WW (William Wyon) on the truncation of the bare head portrait was minted in a script style font and a block style font. This example shown is Script.
